The beauty queen will be in Chennai on March 15 to release the audio of ‘Imayamum Sigaramum Irattisuzhi’. The film has ace directors K. Balachander and Bharathiraja playing the important male roles. Not enough the film is produced by Shankar’s S Pictures. To add more the music of the film is by Maestro Ilaiyaraja’s elder son Karthik Raja.

With so many heavy weights associated with the film can Aishwarya Rai refuse the invitation? ‘Irattisuzhi’ will be in theaters during the first week of April.

Remember that the couple had filed for a divorce in August last year at the family court in Egmore in Chennai and applied for a “divorce by mutual consent”.

According to sources close to the couple they had been drifting apart during the last one year. Close friends tried to intervene and save the marriage, but it was too late as the relationship was going downhill. For the last few months, they have been living separately.

Sonia was initially reluctant for a divorce, and tried for patch up. However the couple realized that the marriage was heading nowhere and decided to part. The buzz is that Selva paid a huge alimony to Sonia and now they will be happily independent people.

When asked about it, Selvaraghavan kept mum, “It is too personal and I would like to keep quiet on this issue and I believe silence is golden.”

Selva first met Sonia in early 2002, when he signed her up for his path breaking Kadhal Konden, opposite his brother Dhanush. It was her debut film in Tamil and subsequently she went on to become a star and was paired with major stars in Kollywood.

Selva and Sonia were living together for nearly four years, and it was on Sonia’s insistence that the relationship was legalised.

Now the actor has gone on a crash diet and reduced five kilos and is looking lean and fit. The buzz is that he is playing a super cool intelligent investigative cop look for his new untitled Bhoopathy Pandian film.

Vikram was the cynosure of all cameramen and guests who turned up for actor Munna’s wedding reception last Saturday. When quizzed about his new look, the actor said: “I can’t reveal much about my new look other than saying it for the role that I’m doing in Bhoopathy Pandian’s film produced by Mohan Natarajan.”

The buzz is that the cop role that he is playing, uses his brains more than brawn to solve murder cases. In the film, he does not wear police uniform and has more of an intelligent investigative officer’s look. Ileana is his heroine and Devi Sri Prasad, the music director.

The shoot of the film will start in Chennai from March 20, and the first schedule will be for 40 days.
